CoMITAC seismometer deployment in Morocco

CoMITAC has six Nanometrics Trillium 120P broadband seismometers which are deployed as part of a wider seismic network in southern Morocco. Working in partnership with the Morocco–Münster Project, the stations are being used to study signals from teleseismic events which have traversed the core–mantle boundary region.

Seismic data availability

Following successful servicing of the stations, CoMITAC now has seismic data for about five months. The availability of data can be viewed at IRIS as a list or in map format.
