Bristol and Oxford Passive Seismic Research Consortium
The Bristol and Oxford Passive Seismic Research Consortium is an industry-funded
research project developing the use of all facets of passive seismic monitoring across a broad
range of applications, with particular focus on monitoring Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) and
geothermal energy developments. The consortium is hosted between the Universities of Bristol and
Oxford in the south of England. BOPS is a continuation of the Bristol University
Microseismicity Project (BUMPS) research consortium that ran from 2010 to 2022.
