I am a NERC Independent Research Fellow in the Institute of Geophysics and Tectonics at the School of Earth and Environment, University of Leeds. My research interests touch many aspects of the properties and behaviour of Earth materials with a focus on computational modelling and simulation at scales from the atomic to the whole Earth. I'm currently working on deformation processes operating in the mantle transition zone and how these influence large scale mantle convection. Details of this and other aspects of my research can be found on the projects page. These web pages also host my list of publications, information about my software, including the FoX library and MSAT toolkit, and material for my Python course for PhD students.
