HTML Reference

Originally constructed by Philip Wild (BGS Edinburgh)

This is a test document to help me, and others, set up html documents. I use this page to setup some test data: e.g. different Fonts, Logical Styles, title sizes, Line Breaks, etc.

There are a number of documents available that help explain in more detail the workings of the Web, and how to setup HyperText Markup Language (HTML) such as:
A HTML Primer
A HTML Reference
A HTML Quick Reference
A Uniform Resource Locator (URL) Description

I have put some In-Line Images at the bottom of this document. These can stand on their own, or can be used as icons to access a further document or picture.

  • You can also specify line breaks
using <br> element. And also horizontal lines using <hr> and you MUST mark the end of a paragraph with <p> otherwise the next chunk of text will continue from the end of the proceeding one.
