MSAT provides a set of Matlab functions for handling, analysing and visualising elastic tensors. These pages contain downloadable versions of the Matlab code, examples and test cases along with online documentation and links to the source control system and bug tracker.
MSAT is written by James Wookey at the School of Earth Sciences at the University of Bristol and Andrew Walker at the School of Earth and Envronment at the University of Leeds. The code is freely redistributable for both commercial and non-commercial use. MSAT's features and some possible uses have been described in a paper in Computers and Geosciences (volume 49, pages 81 - 90, available online as a preprint or from doi:10.1016/j.cageo.2012.05.031) and in a poster at the 2011 AGU Fall Meeting. Users are encouraged to subscribe to the email list for announcements and discussion relating to the toolkit.
The development of this software has been supported by funding from the European Research Council under the European Union's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013) / ERC Grant agreement 240473 'CoMITAC'. |
