The Bristol and Oxford Passive Seismic Research Consortium is an industry-funded research project developing the use of all facets of passive seismic monitoring across a broad range of applications, with particular focus on monitoring Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) and geothermal energy developments. The consortium is hosted between the Universities of Bristol and Oxford in the south of England. BOPS is a continuation of the Bristol University Microseismicity Project (BUMPS) research consortium that ran from 2010 to 2022.
